Have you read Eleanor and Park yet? Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, set in the 1980s is a adorably expressed teenage story. Or love story per se.
There is this one scene, where Eleanor expresses how she feels about herself-she says that she doesn’t look nice. But then Park thinks,”she doesn’t look nice, she looks like art and art wasn’t supposed to look nice, it was supposed to make you feel something”
Throughout the book, there were so many moments where I just kept rereading the words of the author because they make you feel these jitters-the nice kind. And heck, in the end I wished I had someone like Park in my life.
Apparently, a movie is going to be out soon. But I just hope it’s just like the book and doesn’t take a whole different twist in the tale. Fingers crossed.
